Go Fly Fishing
Explore Skye and go fishing for salmon and trout at the same time. The nearby River Snizort is the best salmon and sea trout river on Skye or you could travel a bit further to cast a line on the island's lochs.
Skye fishing guide, Garry Shaw from Skyeflyguy is an experienced Ghillie and Fly Tyer and can organise a mornings, afternoon or full day's fishing trip for you. Whether you are an expert or novice, young or not so young, male or female, Garry will organise a package just for you to ensure your fly fishing experience is a memorable highlight of your holiday.
If you're heading out for an early start, we are happy to serve breakfast earlier and for a small charge, provide you with a packed lunch & filled flask. We can also arrange for Garry to come to the accommodation and give you a fly tying demonstration or some tuition. Spend an evening tying your flies to use the next day fishing.

Go Pony Trekking and Own A Pony For A Day
Located next door to us are Portree Stables. They have horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities.
Pony Trekking is run by friendly, helpful staff in a good atmosphere and where you are always accompanied by competent trekking guides. Trekking available Monday - Friday.
Have you always wanted to own a pony? Well now you can own a pony for a day. Groom, feed, muck out, have a lesson, go for a hack & put the pony to bed. Mum & Dad can explore our beautiful island whilst you spend time with your pony. Please Book in advance. Available 10am - 3pm.

Take A Boat Trip
A great way to see more of our dramatic landscape, coast line, stunning scenery and varied wildlife. Bring your
binoculars and cameras as there may be opportunities to spot whales, otters, seals, basking sharks, puffins, oyster
